Michael Yap is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in product design and user experience. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Designer at Etsy since April 2016, Michael has also held interim roles as Head of Product Design and Director of Strategy & Operations at the company. Prior to Etsy, Michael was a Design Strategist and a Faculty Member at the School of Visual Arts from June 2012 to May 2016. Additionally, Michael served as Director of User Experience at Wondersauce between December 2013 and December 2015, and worked as an Adjunct Faculty at California College of the Arts in 2010. Michael holds a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Interaction Design from the School of Visual Arts, obtained between 2010 and 2012.
