Walter Featherstone is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in mobile communications and standardization. Currently serving as a Mobile Communications Standardisation Technologist at Apple since April 2022, Walter actively engages in mobile communication research, focusing on application enablement and edge computing. As the Technical Manager for ETSI ISG MEC, appointed in 2017 and Chairman since 2019, responsibilities include leading Open Source initiatives. Previous roles include Senior Standards Engineer at Samsung Electronics, where Walter led key projects in mobile edge computing, and Principal Research Engineer positions at Viavi Solutions and Arieso, emphasizing network optimization and location intelligence technologies.
