Merve Güneş has work experience as a Specialist Application Operations at Etiya starting from March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Student at Marmara Üniversitesi from September 2013 to present. During their time at the university, they pursued a PhD and focused on researching the spectral properties of erbium-doped tellurite glasses under the title of their graduation thesis. Merve conducted characterization of the glasses by sending laser light onto rare earth element-doped glasses. In addition, they performed literature reviews in the first year and learned about the materials for synthesizing the glasses. Their role as a PhD student ended in January 2020.
Merve Güneş studied Physics at Marmara University, where they obtained a bachelor's degree. In addition to their formal education, they have also earned several certifications. In December 2021, they obtained the "Üçüncü Binyıl Akademi Python Sertifikası" from Üçüncü Binyıl Akademi. Merve further enhanced their skills by completing the "Yapay Zekaya İlk Adım" certification program offered by Global AI Hub in April 2022. In June 2022, they also completed the "Python'a Giriş" certification program, also provided by Global AI Hub.
