Yousif Al-Ali is an experienced executive in the energy sector, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at EtihadWE since January 2023. Previously, Yousif held the position of Assistant Undersecretary at MOEIUAE from January 2021 to January 2023, where responsibilities included leading the UAE water and electricity sector, coordinating legislation, and performance reporting. Prior to that, Yousif was the Executive Director of the Clean Energy Unit at Masdar from October 2013 to January 2021 and served as General Manager at Shams Power Company, managing the first CSP IPP in the region. Yousif’s earlier career included roles at Torresol Energy Investments as Project Development Manager and at Masdar as Project Manager, focusing on project development and oversight. Yousif's career began at Borouge as a Plant Engineer, where tasks involved coordinating the maintenance of the ethylene plant.
