Mekdes Tadele currently serves as the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain for Aircraft Parts and Services at Ethiopian Airlines, a role that involves overseeing various teams related to supply chain management, including MRP, warehouse operations, and strategic sourcing. Prior to this, Mekdes worked at Boeing Global Services as the Regional Focal for B787 component support, managing component support programs for Ethiopian Airlines' B787 fleet and ensuring efficient logistics and support for over 500 components. Additionally, Mekdes has held positions at Ethiopian Airlines as Global Strategic Sourcing Manager and Manager of Strategic Sourcing, where responsibilities included sourcing and contract administration for aircraft parts and establishing long-term agreements with suppliers. Mekdes holds a Masterā€™s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management, as well as a Bachelorā€™s degree in Business Administration and Management from Addis Ababa University.
