Omar Alshabibi, P.Eng. has extensive work experience in product management and leadership roles. Omar is currently serving as the Lead Global Product Manager for Cyber Security and Software-defined Vehicles at ETAS, where they are responsible for managing the cyber security solution portfolio, market discovery, new product introduction, and global strategy. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Global Product Manager for Cyber Security and V2X Autonomous Vehicles at ETAS, where they led market and product discovery outcomes and was fully responsible for the solution's profit and loss and new product introduction.

Before joining ETAS, Omar worked at Molex as the Manager of Advanced Technology Programs, where they contributed to global product development and management. Omar also worked at Aeryon Labs Inc as a Senior Program Manager and Product Owner, leading the product development, roadmap, and go-to-market plan for a large-scale ISR sUAV system/platform.

Earlier in their career, Omar worked at IMS, where they served as a Project Manager for Product Engineering and was involved in the development of the Gen4 DriveSync HW platform. Omar also held the position of Co-Founder and Founding Product Manager at Innovexa Solutions, where they led the development and go-to-market plan for a software platform targeting the real estate market.

Omar's experience also includes technical product management roles at Urban Informatics Corporation and Zain, where they worked on portfolio management and radio planning. Omar started their career as a System Architecture Engineer at Orascom Telecom.

Throughout their career, Omar has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in product management, market analysis, new product introduction, and global strategy.

Omar Alshabibi, P.Eng. holds a Master's Degree in Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (M.Eng./ M.E.E.I.) from McMaster University. Omar also has a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Advanced Business Management from GMCA McMaster, P.Eng. from Professional Engineers Ontario, and PMC VII from Pragmatic Institute (Pragmatic Marketing + TDI).
