Mark Fairbairn is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in quality and functional safety management, currently serving as the Quality and Functional Safety Manager at ETAS since January 2014. Mark has also held roles as a Field Application Engineer and an Embedded Software and Functional Safety Consultant, focusing on consulting within embedded software, functional safety, and AUTOSAR. Prior to joining ETAS, Mark conducted research on dependable services from low-cost networks during a PhD program at the University of York, where systematic techniques for dependability were employed. Mark's earlier experiences include software development and network maintenance roles, as well as a web development internship. Mark holds a doctorate in the Dependability of Wireless Sensor Networks and a master’s degree in Computer Systems and Software Engineering from the University of York.
