Joep Gorgels has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Joep is currently working as a Strategic Advisor at Onboard since October 2022, where they provide advisory services through the Onboard platform. Additionally, they serve as a Business Development Advisor at Value Maritime since October 2022, focusing on developing business opportunities.

Prior to their current roles, Joep worked as the Chief Financial and Business Development Officer (CFO/CBDO) and Co-director at EST-Floattech | Energy Storage Solutions starting from September 2022. Joep also owns zwinmaritime.com, a Maritime Capital Advisory company that they established in September 2022.

Joep previously held prominent positions within ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and its Oslo Branch. Joep worked as the Global Head Transportation & Logistics Clients - Managing Director - Corporate & Institutional Bank from June 2017 to September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Country Executive in Norway from August 2012 to June 2017.

With an extensive tenure at ABN AMRO, Joep held various roles from 2002 to 2012. Joep was the Head of Transportation West-Europe from July 2010 to September 2012, Director of Merchant Bank Fortis Bank - Head of Shipping Offshore and Intermodal Europe from 2006 to June 2010, Head of Transportation Group West-Europe, and Head of Shipping, Offshore and Intermodal West-Europe from 2002 to 2008.

Before their time at ABN AMRO, Joep started their career as a trainee at MeesPierson in 2000 and worked as a Process Engineer at Fluor from 1997 to 2001.

Joep Gorgels has a diverse educational background that spans over several decades. Joep'seducation journey began in 1984 at Slauerhoff College, where they pursued a VWO degree in the field of VWO. After completing their VWO studies in 1990, they went on to attend Delft University of Technology. At Delft, they pursued two separate master's degrees: one in chemistry from 1990 to 1997 and another in chemical engineering from 1990 to 1996.

In 2011, Joep Gorgels further expanded their educational horizons by attending the IMD school. Here, they obtained a PED degree in the field of PED. More recently, in the year 2022, they enrolled at TIAS School for Business and Society, where they completed a Commissioner and Supervisor Program with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
