James Wren currently serves as the Director of Development & Corporate Partnerships at the Royal Horticultural Society since October 2023. Wren holds trustee positions at Essex Wildlife Trust and Sense about Science, both ongoing since October 2020 and March 2018, respectively. From October 2013 to October 2023, Wren was the Director at ZSL America, and prior to that, held the role of Executive Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Engagement at the Zoological Society of London from September 2009 to October 2023, along with serving as Head of CRM, Events & Membership. Additional experience includes being a trustee at London Play from July 2008 to July 2013 and various marketing and membership roles at The Scout Association from 1997 to September 2009. Wren holds a degree in Historical Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London, completed in 1997, and is also a certified Prince2 Practitioner.
