Yixuan Gong's work experience includes the following roles:

1. Computational Biologist at Essex Management, LLC starting from March 2023.

2. Somatic Variant Curator II at Sema4 from January 2021 to January 2023.

3. Research Assistant Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In this role, Yixuan supervised the Genitourinary Cancer Research Lab, conducted research, developed collaborations, assisted in clinical sample processing, and wrote manuscripts and research grants. This role lasted from May 2011 to January 2021. Yixuan also served as a Senior Scientist at the same institution from May 2011 to December 2013.

4. Postdoc Research Associate at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in the Laboratory of Dr. William Pao. Yixuan conducted translational research on non-small cell lung cancer, including understanding sensitivity to EGFR TKI and identifying predictors of sensitivity to an anti-IGF-1R antibody. This role lasted from January 2006 to March 2011.

Yixuan Gong earned a PhD in Molecular and Biochemical Nutrition from the University of California, Berkeley. This took place from 2001 to 2006.
