Sebastian Örtegren has work experience in various design roles. Sebastian worked as a Design Director at Essen since January 2022 and previously held the position of Senior Designer at the same company since January 2021. Prior to Essen, Sebastian worked as a Designer at the company starting in September 2017. Before that, they were a Design Intern at Stockholm Design Lab for two months in 2017 and also worked as a Design Intern at 2x4 for two months in 2016.

Sebastian Örtegren's education history includes several institutions and fields of study. From 2014 to 2017, they attended Beckmans Designhögskola, where they earned a Konstnärlig kandidatexamen (Artistic Bachelor's degree) in Design and Visual Communication. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2014, they attended Nyckelviksskolan, focusing on Grafisk design (Graphic Design). In 2010 and 2011, they studied Kommunikation och media (Communication and Media) at Södertörn University.
