Patrick Goulding has a diverse range of work experience. Patrick currently works at ESRD, Inc. as an Account Manager since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Altair from January 2019 to May 2023, where they held the roles of Senior Product Engineer and Application Engineer. In these roles, they focused on model-based systems simulations and integrating multibody dynamics with various modeling platforms. Before joining Altair, they pursued an MS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago from August 2016 to December 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Solver Developer Intern at Altair from May 2018 to August 2018. In the past, they held positions as a Technology Writer and Researcher at BuiltWorlds from September 2017 to May 2018, a Teacher in Computer Science and Writing at The University of Chicago from June 2013 to August 2017, and a Programs Account Representative at HUB International from November 2015 to May 2016. Patrick also has entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded FoodRecruits in 2013 and co-founded and served as the Managing Director of Bricklayers Theatre Co. from July 2007 to January 2012. Furthermore, they played a role in the Valley Arts Festival as the Co-founder of the Theatre Division in June 2005.

Patrick Goulding completed their education with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Theatre Arts from Boston University from 2002 to 2006.
