Shashi Dhungel has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Shashi started their career as a Business Reporter at The Himalayan Times, where they published numerous articles on environment, energy, business, and transportation. Shashi also initiated a weekly section called Wheels, which covered the auto industry in Nepal.
Afterwards, Shashi worked as a Research Assistant at Southern Illinois University, where they completed two projects on community-based resource management, with one of them being published in the Journal of Outdoor Recreation, Education, and Leadership.
Shashi then moved on to the University of Maine, where they served as a Research Assistant and developed a theoretical model for sustainability assessment of biofuels supply chains. Shashi also conducted a life cycle assessment of wood chip production and co-authored a peer-reviewed article published in the Journal of Cleaner Production.
Following their time at the University of Maine, Shashi continued their research career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Research Assistant. Shashi later joined QC Holdings Inc as a Data Scientist, focusing on data analysis in the financial services sector. Shashi then became the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of ESR LLC, an initiative aimed at developing technology solutions (www.esrtech.io).
Most recently, Shashi worked as a Data Scientist III at SelectQuote Insurance Services, utilizing their expertise in data science.
