Jiwoon Yang has a diverse work experience in the esports industry. Jiwoon currently works as a Competition Operation Coordinator at Esports Engine starting from February 2022. Prior to that, they were an Associate Producer at Spike Chunsoft, Inc. from April 2021 to February 2022 where they oversaw production schedules, facilitated communication between multiple parties, and acted as a secondary voice director.
Jiwoon also has experience as a Player Relations Coordinator at Blizzard Entertainment from April 2021 to April 2021, where they maintained relationships with teams and players and assisted the League Administration team with various requests. From February 2013 to April 2021, Jiwoon worked as an Esports Observer.
In addition, Jiwoon has worked at The Kraft Group & Affiliates as an Esports Supervisor for the Boston Uprising Overwatch League team from December 2017 to August 2018. Jiwoon managed travel needs, housing, meals, and served as a liaison with the league and players.
Furthermore, they worked as a Tournament Administrator at One Nation of Gamers in 2016 and as an Assistant Physical Education Coach at YMCA of Greater Houston from August 2012 to February 2013, where they helped run a physical education program for homeschool students.
Jiwoon Yang obtained an Associate of Arts - AA degree from Houston Community College in the years 2012 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Houston from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, Jiwoon Yang also completed a Language Program at Yonsei University. Prior to their enrollment at Houston Community College, Jiwoon Yang explored the field of Architecture at the University of Melbourne in 2011 and 2012.
