Nelida L. Ayala is a skilled paralegal currently working with Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project since August 2023. Previously, as a Project Supervisor for Amigos de las Americas, Nelida managed volunteer support and facilitated cultural immersion activities in Panama. In roles within the Smith College Student Government Association, Nelida participated in advocacy for equity initiatives and served as a Senator overseeing student organization charters. Additional experience includes editorial support at Meridians Journal, resume advising at the Lazarus Center for Career Development, and legal research internships with Rutgers Law School and Church World Service. Nelida holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish and Government from Smith College and has pursued studies at Universidad de Córdoba.
