Andrea Wood is an experienced English teacher currently working at Escondido Union High School District since August 2022, where responsibilities also include coaching Track and Field during the spring season. Previously, Andrea taught at Oakland Unity High School from June 2016 to June 2022, leading the English Summer Success program for incoming 9th graders and overseeing various extracurricular activities as co-Activities Director. Prior to that, Andrea served as a substitute teacher at San Marcos Unified School District and Escondido Union High School District in 2016. Andrea's teaching journey began as a student teacher at Boston Green Academy in 2014, complemented by retail management experience from time spent as an Assistant Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister Co. Andrea holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
