Laura Roskos holds a Ph.D. in English with a Modern Studies Concentration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Currently serving as the Communications and Development Manager and Director of the Senior Community Service Employment Program at Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands since April 2015, Laura Roskos focuses on reintegrating individuals aged 55 and older into the workforce. Prior to this, Laura was a Commissioner for the Barnstable County Human Rights Commission and served as President of the U.S. Section of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, where significant initiatives included launching the Practicum in Advocacy at the United Nations. Laura has also held academic roles at institutions such as Suffolk University and the University of Connecticut while building coalitions for human rights legislation through the Massachusetts CEDAW Project. Previous experience includes directing the Graduate Consortium in Women's Studies at Harvard University and conducting research on gender issues in security and defense sectors.
