Emilie LeMaoult

Co-Founder & CEO at Erwin Labs

Freelancing passionate. Startupper. Ex-Swimmer.

I fell into the freelancing world at 19 years old when joining Comet, a freelancing platform.

There, I worked successively as a Customer Success Manager, Business Developer, Social Seller, and finally, Account Manager.

3 years later, I became a freelancer myself, when transitioning to Growth Management. From the horrors of administration to the bliss of continuous learning, I saw how much I knew but also had to learn from this market.

When I started learning web development at Le Wagon, I met Julien and Cyril. We decided to work on the first version of Erwin. A basic graph showing the prices of the freelancing market in Tech & Data. We published it for the International Day of Women's Rights.

Shortly afterward, we decided to join our forces again to continue providing transparency and relevant solutions to the freelancing market.

Qualities I value in my colleagues

  • Curiosity
  • ownership
  • adaptability
  • honesty
  • openness

I love working in a continuous learning environment. Errors are not a problem for me as they are milestones to a successful future. I expect people to be truly transparent about situations with me. I also appreciate transparency when it comes to feedback. Finally, I love when people come with a problem-solving mindset and creative ideas.

My communication style

  • Casual
  • transparent
  • curious
  • thoughtful
  • positive

I will always make time for the people in need of it ! :D

My pet peeves

  • Micromanagement
  • unreliability
  • poor communication
  • selfishness
  • disrespectfulness

I don't like when people wait for orders. If we did our job well, a team member should know the goal of the company. (However, if our goal is still unclear for you, I am deeply sorry about that : contact me any time to talk about it ) So, if you want to do something you believe is worth doing it, just do it. If you have an idea to patch a potential challenge, just act on it. When it comes to your work, take responsibility and have fun doing it.

Fun fact

I have 3 Guinea Pigs, they look like fluffy slippers. Also, I spent around a third of my 2021 year listening to music. My top 3 was Blinding Lights, Walk of Life, and Coup de tête.
