Sam Rowland has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Starting in 2013, Sam worked as the Engineering Career Day Student Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2014, Sam interned as a Curriculum Development Intern at The Wharton School. In 2015, Sam worked as an intern at Golf Genius Software.

Sam joined Jet.com in 2016 and held two roles within the company. First, they worked as a Product Catalog Operations Analyst from June 2016 to April 2017. Sam then transitioned to the role of Associate Technical Product Manager from May 2017 to March 2018.

In 2018, Sam joined Compass as a Software Engineer. They held this position from October 2018 to March 2021. Later, Sam was promoted to Senior Software Engineer and served in that role from March 2021 to January 2023.

Currently, Sam is employed at Ernesta Inc. as a Senior Fullstack Engineer since January 2023.

Sam Rowland completed their education with a Bachelor of Science and Engineering (BSE) degree in Systems Science and Engineering as their major, along with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship. 💻 Sam attended the University of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2016 for their undergraduate studies. Following this, in 2018, Sam attended Hack Reactor for an Advanced Software Engineering Immersive program. Prior to their university education, Sam completed high school at William Penn Charter School from 2003 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Sam obtained certifications in "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in December 2017.
