Barend de Loor has extensive work experience in the property industry. Barend currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Eris Property Group since August 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy CEO and Executive Director at Eris Property Group, starting in March 2019 and April 1996 respectively.

Barend de Loor obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, where they studied from 1984 to 1989. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of the Witwatersrand, studying from 1992 to 1993.
