Jim Kennington serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Ergodic Investment Group, L.P. since January 2022. Concurrently, Jim holds the position of Mildred Dresselhaus Graduate Fellow at Penn State University, pursuing a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Previously, Jim was a Quantitative Developer at HBK Capital Management from August 2014 to July 2020 and directed research and education at Texas Undergraduate Computational Finance, where quantitative research on volatility distributions and cluster analysis was conducted. Jim's earlier experience includes roles as an Undergraduate Researcher in The Raizen Group at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on non-newtonian fluids and data analysis, and as an Assistant Editor for the Texas Undergraduate Research Journal. Education comprises a BS in Physics with a Mathematics focus from The University of Texas at Austin and a current PhD candidate at Penn State University.
