Ryan King currently serves as Manager of Market Design at ERCOT since November 2022. From February 2012 to November 2022, Ryan held various roles at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), including Supervisor of Capacity Development and Integration and Senior Market Development Advisor, where responsibilities included demand response evolution and market renewal efforts. Prior experience includes multiple roles within the Ontario Ministry of Energy from June 2006 to February 2012, focusing on policy development and stakeholder negotiations related to smart metering and the Ontario Renewable Energy Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) program. Ryan's earlier experience encompasses research assistance positions at Queen's School of Policy Studies and the Centre for American Studies. Ryan holds a Master of Public Administration from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western University.
