Farooq Merchant is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in leading teams and managing projects in the software and systems engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Equus Software since May 2015, Farooq has previously held roles at ABB (formerly Ventyx and Indus International) from January 2007 to April 2015, advancing from Project Manager to Principal Systems Engineer and Lead for the Systems Engineering Group. Earlier experience includes positions as a Senior Systems Engineer and Programmer Analyst at ABB from July 1998 to December 2006, and as a Software Engineer at Silverline from September 1997 to June 1998, where involvement in a monetary field expansion project for FDR's internationalization into Hong Kong and Japan was notable. Farooq holds an Advanced Diploma in Systems Management from the National Institute of Information Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with a focus on Financial Accounting and Auditing from the University of Mumbai.
