Lisa Leib is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in labor and employment law. Currently serving as First Vice President and Principal Labor and Employment Counsel at Equity Residential since May 2001, Lisa manages a large workload of litigation, arbitration, and mediation, while advising senior management on critical labor and employment issues in both union and non-union settings. Previously, Lisa held the positions of Vice-President, Legal and Assistant Vice-President-Legal at Equity Residential, where responsibilities included managing a multi-million dollar workers compensation program and serving as Fair Housing Counsel. Prior experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel at American Classic Voyages, Assistant Corporation Counsel at the City of Chicago Law Department, and Attorney at Schiff Hardin LLP. Lisa's legal journey began as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Harold A. Baker in the United States District Court. Lisa holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration and Management with High Honors from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
