Steve McCarney currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer and Commercial Director at Walkers Shortbread Ltd. since November 2017. Additionally, McCarney has been an Investor and Director at Broughton Brewery since November 2015, contributing to the legacy of Scotland's original craft brewery. As a Member of Equity Gap since July 2014, McCarney supports emerging and growing businesses. Prior experience includes independent consulting focused on FMCG strategy and change management, and various leadership roles in procurement and commercial development at Heineken, Scottish and Newcastle, WaverleyTBS, and Bulmer's Cider. McCarney holds an M.B.A. and a BSc Eng (Chemical) from the University of Cape Town.
