David Weinberg currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Equity Commonwealth since May 2014. Prior roles include Real Estate Investments at Equity Group Investments from January 2012 to May 2014, and Multifamily and Office Investments at Helix Funds LLC from September 2007 to January 2012. David held the position of Vice President of Investments and Asset Management at Equity Office Properties from January 2003 to September 2007, and served as Vice President of Acquisitions at LaSalle Investment Management between January 1998 and January 2003. Early career experiences include working as an Attorney at Sidley Austin LLP from September 1994 to January 1998 and as a Law Clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from September 1993 to September 1994. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (JD) from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (1990-1993) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1986-1990).
