Sam Kling serves as the Director of Cities at Equitable Cities LLC since February 2024. Previously, Sam Kling held multiple roles at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs from September 2018 to February 2024, including Director of Global Cities Research and Global Cities Fellow, as well as serving as an ACLS/Mellon Public Fellow and Global Cities Fellow. Additionally, in early 2018, Sam Kling was a Visiting Lecturer in History at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Urban History and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Urban History, both from Northwestern University, completed between 2010 and 2017.
