Andrea Rizor is a Civil Rights Attorney at Equip for Equality, a position held since May 2020. Prior to this, Andrea served as a Staff Attorney at Michigan Protection & Advocacy Service from June 2014 to April 2020, where representation focused on individuals with disabilities in legal matters including discrimination and Medicaid entitlements. Andrea's legal career began at Michigan Protection and Advocacy Service as an Advocate, and included an externship at the Michigan Court of Appeals, where research on appellate issues was conducted. Earlier experience as a Service Facilitator at Hamilton County Developmental Disability Services involved advocacy for individuals with disabilities and oversight of compliance for service providers. Andrea holds a Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Western Michigan University.
