Guillermo Velez has a robust background in network engineering and management, currently serving as Manager of Network Service Engineering - Optical at Equinix since May 2017. Velez has progressively advanced in roles at Equinix, previously holding positions as Senior Optical Network Planning and Implementation Engineer, Network Service Engineer III, and Network Service Engineer II. Prior experience includes working as a Special Operations Network Engineer at Verizon Terremark from August 2010 to May 2017, and earlier positions at Verizon Terremark, SKY Latin America, and DIRECTV Latin America, demonstrating a wide range of expertise in network operations and engineering. Velez earned a degree from the University of Phoenix between 2002 and 2006.
