Michael Elizabeth

Director Of Public Health Policy at Equality Federation

Michael Elizabeth is an accomplished public health policy strategist with extensive experience advocating for LGBTQ+ communities. Currently working with the Equality Federation since April 2021, Michael focuses on influencing public health policies related to HIV. Previously, Michael served as a community relations aide for Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and as president of the Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus, the oldest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization in the South. Michael also held positions as a legislative and district aide in the Texas Senate, a prevention supervisor at Legacy Community Health Services, and managed programs at the City of Houston's Mayor's Office. Earlier career experiences include roles at a law firm, the ONE Campaign, and the U.S. House of Representatives. Michael is a Reed College alumnus.
