Richard Flint

Richard Flint has a diverse work experience in software development. Richard started their career as a Graduate Software Developer at Yell Adworks Ltd in November 2006 and later became the Lead Developer. During their time there, they played a key role in developing an interactive reporting system and a global distributed workflow system. Richard also designed and implemented a server application to parse and classify content from customer's media products.

In 2011, Richard joined Qualsafe as a Software Developer. Richard led the design and development of new functionality for a web portal, including an interactive dashboard and a Java server application for order processing and inventory management. Richard also provided support and further development for a C# desktop application and made enhancements to a graphics workflow system.

Richard then worked at Gorkana as a Java Developer, where they played a key role in developing web and service applications within an Agile Scrum environment. Richard developed public facing REST web services and internal REST web services, using Java 8, Jersey, Guice, and JPA/Hibernate.

In 2015, Richard joined Sky as a Contract Developer. Richard worked in multiple agile squads, delivering seamless online sales journeys and developing micro-services using Java 8 and Spring Boot. Richard updated and maintained existing Java micro-services and web applications to support new products and features.

Most recently, Richard joined Equal Experts as an Associate Developer. Richard worked as a developer with Hermes and later transitioned to a general developer role. No specific end date is provided for their current role.

Richard Flint attended The Emmbrook School where they obtained 7 GCSEs, including Mathematics and English, in the year 2001. Richard then went on to study at The Henley College from 2001 to 2003, earning a BTEC National Diploma in Computing. Lastly, Richard attended the University of East Anglia from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
