Monisha Pathania

Senior Scientist at Epsilogen

Monisha Pathania has worked in a variety of roles in the field of biomedical research since 2009. Monisha began their career as a Summer Research Intern at the Dr. B R Ambedkar Research Center for Biomedical Research in New Delhi, where they worked on designing lipid microspheres for drug delivery systems. Monisha then went on to become a Summer Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Science, where they worked on expressing mutant forms of glycoproteins in Pichia pastoris and checking for their activity. Following this role, they became a Summer Research Intern at IISER Mohali, where they worked on protein ligand binding studies using different NMR experiments. In 2012, Monisha joined the National Institute of Immunology as a JRF, where their project included understanding the molecular biology of the pathogenesis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Monisha then moved on to become a Research Fellow at Madurai Kamaraj University, where they worked on molecular understanding of brain analysis of Long Term Potentiation (LTP). In 2014, Monisha became an ITN Marie Curie Fellow-Researcher at Newcastle University. Monisha then moved on to become a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London in 2019, and most recently, in 2022, they took on the role of Senior Scientist at Epsilogen Ltd.

Monisha Pathania received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Biology from Newcastle University from 2014 to 2017. Monisha then earned their Masters in Biotechnology from Madurai Kamaraj University between 2010 and 2012. Her Bachelors in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Botany was obtained from Guru Nanak Dev University between 2007 and 2010.
