In 1986, they explored their artistic talents further by working as an operatic singer, musician, and conductor for various opera companies. During this time, they also pursued writing and studied screenplay writing at the ScriptAcademy in Amsterdam.

In 1996, Victor became the Artistic Director for Opera Persephone, Victor Westerkamp, o.m.a., where they oversaw artistic operations. Victor continued to work in the opera industry as a Director for Opera Persephone, a.o. in 1981.
