John Harvey Taylor currently serves as the Bishop Diocesan for the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, overseeing a community of 58,000 Episcopalians across multiple counties since December 2017. Prior to this role, Taylor was the Vicar at St. John Chrysostom Episcopal Church and School, where engagement included various ministerial responsibilities from September 2004 to May 2017. Taylor managed the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace Foundation from September 1990 to February 2009, leading a private presidential library and its integration into the National Archives. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief of Staff for former President Richard Nixon's office and working in journalism. Educational qualifications include a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology and a Bachelor of Science from UC San Diego.
