David Nordy, PE, is a seasoned electrical engineering professional currently serving as the Manager of Distribution Standards and Design at EPB since March 2015. In this role, David specializes in the design and engineering of transmission and distribution systems, focusing on new business initiatives, electric vehicles, solar energy, and Distributed Energy Resources within the 4kV-46kV range. David's previous experience includes roles as a Planning Engineer and Engineer II in Smart Grid, where responsibilities included evaluating electric system performance and implementing protection relaying settings. Prior experience also encompasses a position as a Power Systems Engineer at Tennessee Valley Authority and an Electrical Engineering Intern, along with various seasonal roles in customer service and agricultural settings. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration.
