Alice Carruthers has a diverse work experience in the medical and scientific field. Alice is currently working as a Scientific Director at Envision Pharma Group since July 2023. Prior to this role, they held positions at Meditech Media, starting as an Associate Medical Writer in September 2016 and then progressing to become a Senior Medical Writer in March 2018. Alice also worked as a Freelance Science & Medical Writer from October 2019 to April 2021. Additionally, Alice had experience as a Newsletter Editor (Volunteer) at the Queensland Frog Society from January 2021 to May 2023. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Science & Technology Editor at The Print from July 2015 to March 2016. Furthermore, Alice pursued their PhD in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology at Queen Mary, University of London from October 2012 to September 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientist at Xention Discovery Ltd from June to September 2012 and as a Student Scientist from August 2010 to August 2011.

Alice Carruthers obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from Sheffield Hallam University, which they attended from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cardiovascular pathophysiology at Queen Mary University of London, completing their studies from 2012 to 2016.
