James C. Powell is an experienced executive with a robust background in commercial lending and investment banking, spanning over 35 years. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for FRONTSTEPS and EnviroVac, Powell has previously held significant roles including Managing Director at Madison Capital Funding LLC, where oversight of troubled investments was a key responsibility. Powell also founded Allied Capital’s co-investment efforts, and served as Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, specializing in debt syndication and structuring. Earlier experience includes tenure as a Bank Examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Michigan and a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
