Homer Swei serves as the Senior Vice President of Healthy Living Science at the Environmental Working Group, a position held since July 2022, where leadership efforts focus on advancing research and implementing market changes related to chemical ingredients in consumer products. Swei spearheads the EWG Verified certification program and oversees consumer databases, aiming to enhance product safety and regulatory policies. Prior to this role, Swei spent nearly two decades at Johnson & Johnson in various capacities, including Global Director of Product Stewardship, where responsibilities encompassed policy development and stakeholder engagement. Swei's career also includes roles at Dow Chemical, Union Carbide, Raychem, ExxonMobil, and holds a PhD and BS in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and the University of California, Berkeley, respectively.
