Aaron Killgore has a diverse range of work experience in environmental science and planning.
- From 2023 to present, they work as a Senior Principal Biologist at Environmental Science Associates.
- Prior to that, from 2018 to 2022, they were a Senior Environmental Planner at Mead & Hunt, where they specialized in environmental planning, biological compliance, NEPA, permitting, and public outreach.
- From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Program Manager at SpecPro Professional Services, overseeing various environmental programs.
- In 2014, they worked as an Analyst at Marstel-Day, leading outreach planning efforts for a partnership between the Marine Corps and Bureau of Land Management.
- In 2013 and 2014, they were the Director of the East Bali Watershed Initiative, focusing on community outreach and conservation efforts in East Bali.
- In 2012 and 2013, they worked as a Technical Advisor at the East Bali Poverty Project, providing guidance on conservation and sustainable agriculture programs.
- From 2008 to 2012, they were the John Day Coordinator at the Oregon Natural Desert Association, leading environmental policy initiatives and community outreach.
- Lastly, from 2003 to 2005, they were a Fellow at the David L. Boren National Security Education Program.
Aaron Killgore holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences from New Mexico State University. Prior to obtaining their master's degree, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology at The University of Kansas. In addition to their formal education, Killgore has also obtained several certifications. These include the Coastal Adaptation Planning certification from NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration in January 2022, the Qualified Airport Wildlife Biologist certification from Blue Wing Environmental in December 2020, and the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in October 2017.
