Lisa Frank has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Lisa started their career as a Programming Chair at GU Pride, where they planned and organized events related to LGBTQIA issues and needs. Following this, they worked as an Information Services Assistant at Georgetown University Medical Center. In 2011, they served as a Program Aide for the Multnomah Youth Commission, where they contributed to youth policy advisory initiatives.

In 2012, Lisa held positions as a Summer International Research Fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs at Georgetown University, and as the Coordinator of the Immigration and Labor Program at the Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor. Lisa then interned for Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR1) in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2013.

Lisa dedicated several years to advocacy and campaign organizing. Lisa worked as the Washington County Advocacy Manager at the Bicycle Transportation Alliance from 2013 to 2016, and later became a Campaign Organizer for the Florida Consumer Action Network from 2016 to 2017, focusing on achieving "Complete Streets" in the City of St. Petersburg.

In 2017, Lisa joined Environment America as a Senior Development Officer, contributing to the organization's efforts for clean air, clean water, clean energy, wildlife, and open spaces. Within Environment America, they held the role of Executive Director, Washington Legislative Office from 2021 onwards. Additionally, Lisa worked as a Vice President and D.C. Director at The Public Interest Network, an organization supporting social change and a better world.

Lisa Frank attended Lincoln High School from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma. In 2009, they enrolled at Georgetown University and completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Government and Spanish from 2009 to 2013. In 2011, they briefly studied Jurisprudencia at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
