Ian Piwek is an established expert in strategy and business development, currently serving as SVP of Strategy and Business Development at EnviCore Inc. since March 2019. In this role, Piwek collaborates with the CEO and Executive Team to refine the company’s strategic vision while leading business development and marketing initiatives. Previously, Piwek held various positions at Suncor Energy from 1994 to 2016, including Development Advisor and Director of Mine Drilling, where responsibilities spanned strategic development, engineering project management, and technological innovation in mining. Experience also includes serving as a Natural Resources and Energy Consultant and as an Executive Advisor, offering high-level governance and technical research guidance. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Athabasca University.
