Ingrid Selmer Tarøy has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Ingrid started their career as a Summer Intern at Avanade in 2012. Ingrid then joined Avanade again in 2013 as a Collaboration Analyst and later became a Software Engineer Sr Analyst. In 2016, they moved to Acando Norge and worked as a Consultant until 2019. In 2019, they joined CGI Norge as a Senior Consultant and worked there until 2021. Currently, they are working as a Frontend Developer at Entur AS.

Ingrid Selmer Tarøy has a strong educational background in the field of Informatics. Ingrid obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Informatics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2012, and another Master of Science (M.S.) degree from UC San Diego in 2012-2013. Prior to their master's degrees, Ingrid earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Informatics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 2008 and 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Ingrid Tarøy has also pursued professional certifications to enhance their skills. Ingrid obtained the certification in "Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3" from Microsoft in August 2014.
