Natasha Govindasamy has diverse work experience in various scientific and medical settings. Natasha currently works as a Scientist at Entos Pharmaceuticals, where they specialize in analyzing and validating biological readouts for the development of lipid nano particles. Their role involves gene delivery in in vitro and in vivo murine models, as well as conducting various analytical methods such as cell-based assays, RT-qPCR, and ELISAs.
Prior to their current position, Natasha served as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta from 2017 to 2020. During this time, they gained valuable experience in research projects related to their field.
Natasha's education background includes a Master's degree in Science, which they obtained from the University of Alberta in 2017. Their research in cardiovascular diseases focused on angiogenesis and the pathological role of angiostatin in coronary artery disease and Type 2 diabetes.
Before pursuing their graduate studies, Natasha worked as a Lab Technician in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Alberta. Their responsibilities in Dr. Ratmir Derda's lab primarily involved protein synthesis on a novel Teflon array.
Natasha's professional journey began as a Pharmacy Technician at Shoppers Drug Mart from 2011 to 2013. In this role, they were responsible for processing prescriptions in databases, filling prescriptions, and providing customer service. Additionally, they managed inventory and filled blister packs.
Natasha Govindasamy pursued their education at the University of Alberta, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with specialization in Pharmacology from 2009 to 2013. Subsequently, they went on to complete their Master's degree in Pharmacology at the same university, studying from 2014 to 2017.
