Robert Stettner has a diverse work history with experience in various roles in the technology industry. Robert started their career at CLOUDSIGMA AG in 2012 as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed software using Python, Django, Mootools, jQuery, RequireJS, Backbone.js, NodeJS, and other technologies. Robert then worked at SimpleSite as a Senior Software Engineer, developing software using C#.NET, RequireJS, Backbone.js, NodeJS, LESS, and other technologies.
In 2014, Stettner joined AlignAlytics as a Lead Developer, where they developed software as a full-stack Javascript developer using Node.js, Express, AngularJS, D3, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, and other technologies. Robert then moved to Reach plc in 2016 as a Solutions Architect, designing, developing, and deploying software with technologies such as Node.js, Go, GraphQL, Docker, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, RDS, ElastiCache, and more.
Starting in 2018, Stettner worked at DAZN as a Principal Site Reliability Engineer and Tech Lead through 101 Ways. Robert built and led teams across four worldwide locations, focusing on building the platform for developers and improving workflow and processes. Robert was involved in various projects, including implementing a standardized CI/CD solution, designing a global centralized logging system, and developing internal tooling to enhance Developer Experience. Robert also drove good practices around testing workflow across the company.
In 2018, Stettner also began working at 101 Ways as a Principal Site Reliability Engineer and Tech Lead. Robert held these roles until 2019, during which they contributed to DAZN's projects.
From 2019 to 2022, Stettner worked as a Global Principal Site Reliability Engineer at Funding Circle UK. Robert was responsible for establishing an SRE strategy, engaging with teams to promote good practices, and implementing automated and distributed practices using tools like Terraform, AWS, PagerDuty, and Okta.
More recently, Stettner worked at William Hill as the Head of SRE from February 2022 to July 2022. Currently, they hold the same position at Ensono Digital, starting in August 2022.
Throughout their career, Stettner has gained expertise in various programming languages, technologies, and tools. Robert has demonstrated leadership skills, team management, and a focus on improving Developer Experience and workflow processes.
Robert Stettner completed their secondary education at Brighton Secondary College from 1994 to 1999. Robert then attended Monash University from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Technology with a focus on Computer Studies. Later, from 2008 to 2011, Robert pursued a Master's degree in Business Information Systems at Monash University.
