Derek Cooper has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently holding the position of Integrated Operations Center (IOC) at Ensign Natural Resources since September 2019, where responsibilities include scheduling daily operations for over 600 locations and managing 18,000 assets across South Texas. Prior to this role, Derek spent nine years at Pioneer Natural Resources Company, progressing through various positions including SCADA Technician, Field Service Technician, Measurement Technician, and Instrumentation Tech. In these roles, Derek developed expertise in database management, automation systems, flow computer operations, safety system programming, and instrumentation for industrial applications. Derek holds two Associate of Arts degrees obtained from Victoria College and San Jacinto College between 2011 and 2015.
