Gaylen Drape, M.S. has extensive work experience in the field of data analysis and research. Starting in 1976, they worked as an Agricultural Statistician at the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service for a period of six years. Following this, from 1982 to 1985, they worked as a Statistical Analyst at Harris Corporation. Since 1985, Gaylen has been employed at ENSCO, Inc. where they hold the position of Program Manager. In this role, they are responsible for leading R&D projects for the Department of Defense Biosurveillance Ecosystem (BSVE) program, focusing on the development of machine learning and data visualization software applications for predicting zoonotic disease outbreaks. Gaylen also manages the SenseNet Bio program for the Department of Homeland Security, which involves the development of inexpensive biological monitoring systems for indoor building environments. Additionally, Gaylen is responsible for internal research and development of machine learning and predictive analytics applications within their division and other divisions of the company.
Gaylen Drape, M.S. attended Tripoli High School from 1968 to 1972, where they did not earn a degree or study a specific field. Following this, they attended Iowa State University from 1972 to 1976, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Statistics. Later, from 1980 to 1982, Gaylen pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree at Purdue University in the field of Statistics.
