Emmanuel Francois serves as Chairman of the Data Governance Alliance for Smarter Citizens since April 2023 and has been a Senior Advisor at Urban Practices since September 2022. Their extensive experience includes a longstanding role at EnOcean as Sales Manager for West Europe and Market Manager for Smart Building since November 2009, focusing on energy-efficient, wireless solutions. Additionally, Francois is President of Fonds MAJ, promoting innovative social projects centered around human-centered transitions in building and territory design using digital technologies. As Chairman of the EnOcean Alliance since January 2018 and former Chairman of the Smart Buildings Alliance for Smart Cities, Emmanuel has been instrumental in advocating for digital trust and interoperability in the building sector. Francois also contributes to academia as a Professor in Smart Building and Smart City modules at ESTP Paris. Other past positions include General Manager for WIELAND ELECTRIC in France and Sales Manager at Wirecom Technologies. Francois holds a degree from EBS Paris.
