Anwen Fredriksen is a Senior Applied Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) at Enlitic since March 2022. Previously, Anwen served as a Principal NLP Developer at Optum from May 2012 to April 2022 and worked as a Machine Translation Consultant at Appen Butler Hill, Inc. from April 2008 to April 2022. Anwen's early career includes positions as a Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where responsibilities involved supervising semantic role labeling annotation for PropBank and contributing to various medical NLP projects. Anwen also interned at Return Path in 2009. Anwen holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics, Cognitive Science, and Human Language Technology from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Colorado State University.
