Deniz Gözel possesses extensive experience in the field of electrical and computer engineering, particularly in photonic integrated circuits. Currently employed as a CMI Researcher at the EPFL Center of MicroNanoTechnology and a Research and Development Engineer at both EPFL and Enlightra, Deniz focuses on device fabrication and next-generation data transmission applications. Previous roles include researcher positions at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, Davis, where Deniz contributed to the design, fabrication, and characterization of photonic integrated circuits. Additional experience includes participation in professional organizations such as Optica and SPIE, and prior engineering work at Aselsan and participation in Huawei's international program. Deniz holds a PhD and MS from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor's degree from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi.
