Stephanie Hamel is a seasoned professional in water management and sanitation with extensive experience in project management, engineering, and technical assessment. Currently, as the Country Manager for Vanuatu at Engineers Without Borders Australia, Stephanie collaborates with the Department of Public Health to advance national sanitation guidelines and supports field staff on-site. Previous roles include Environmental Engineer at Aurecon, where contributions were made to significant water supply and wastewater projects, and Water and Sanitation Specialist at Plan International, supervising a team to assess and improve rural water infrastructures in Timor-Leste. With a Master’s degree in Water Management from Cranfield University, Stephanie has demonstrated expertise across multiple organizations, encompassing emergency response coordination, project design, stakeholder engagement, and technical training in various international contexts.
